MDO Formwork Plywood
Product Information
Benefits
- Industry benchmark Dynea MDO (Medium density overlay) on one side and Dynea PSF (Phenolic surface film) on the other increases the versatility and maximises the quality and potential number of uses.
- MDO front surface provides a matt finish with multiple uses on vertical and horizontal formwork and minimises the potential for grain transfer. (Test Panels are recommended)
- PSF surface for use as a Waterproofing layer and potential additional formwork surface with UKPLY printing.
- Application to walls and decks to suit all surface finish types in Table2 section 2.5.2 of the Concrete Society – Formwork Guide to Good Practice.
- Excellent strength properties from a light weight hardwood. with testing and design information produced in accordance with the Chinese Standard GB/T 17656-2018
- FSC® Chain of Custody certified by SCS Global Services
- UKTR Compliant : Specifically produced for temporary works formwork applications and not for use in permanent works.

Formwork Guide to Good Site Practice
STORAGE & HANDLING· Offloading by crane or forklift. Packs may weigh 1600kg. · Protect the pallets and boards from the weather. · Store the pallets and boards on dry level ground · Store pallets , boards, formwork away from any risk of damage. · Remove the outer packing and strapping from the pallets and do not move packs without re-strapping. · Boards should be manually handled by two persons.
FABRICATION· When boards are cut or drilled all cut edges and holes must be painted immediately with a suitable protective coating. · For the best results the plywood can be fastened from into the back of the panel. Where boards are fastened from the front, nails should be punched below the surface and the hole filled with a suitable filler. · Joints between adjacent boards should be sealed with a suitable filler.
IN USE· Formwork boards should be oiled twice before first use and again before each and every use. · Select the most suitable type of release agent for the MDO overlay. Ensure compliance with the Release Agent Manufacturers instructions. · Avoid damaging the plywood surface and edges when releasing the form from the concrete pour. · Clean the plywood panel carefully, dry and re-oil immediately. · Strike formwork as soon as practicable to reduce potential for staining.
RE- CYCLING· Re-use the plywood as many times as possible and downgrade boards after use to suit works with a less demanding surface finish.
· At the end of the boards useful life, they can be chipped and or utilised as bio fuel |
